The radial load capacity of four row cylindrical roller bearing is exceptionally high. Four-row cylindrical roller bearing are only able to accommodate radial loads, they are therefore mounted together with deep groove or angular contact ball bearings or with tapered roller bearing of thrust design, which take up the axial loads. The main application are found in working or backup rolls of hot and cold rolling mills, strip mill, etc.
